Garden Designer & Gardener
Hailing from North Augusta and Charleston, South Carolina, Olivia grew up surrounded by pines and azaleas, camellias and gardenias. After a start in environmental consulting, Olivia realized her desire to work with plants and returned to school at North Carolina State University where she received her Master of Horticultural Sciences degree. While at NCSU, she focused her studies on landscape design and received her Permaculture Design certificate under the tutelage of Will Hooker. Following graduation, Olivia interned and later worked as a member of the Horticulture Staff at the North Carolina Botanical Garden at UNC. Olivia has a passion for ecological gardening and native plants, and also serves on the Cullowhee Native Plant Conference Steering Committee as Scholarship Chair.
When Olivia's not dreaming up beautiful gardens for people, she's busy with her young children, June and Ben. Both are already receiving lessons in fine gardening, botanical Latin, and garden fairies!
